Crab = Ketam

I had my yummylicious 3-in-1 meal over dinner (3-in-1 again???) with my favourite ever bestest friend, Kak Dee whom I described as a person with a great heart…I can’t see a single black dot in her.,  Serious babe…heh. We shared BBQ chicken salad, some wrapped chicken (can’t remember the commercial name..latest menu it seems) and of course the to-die for-dessert – the Mud Pie!!…sempat flirt with Murphy lagi ek…hehehe..TGIF.. I will visit you again…ek?? ~wink wink~

It was heavy traffic everywhere so I decided to spend my quiet night with my laptop at home…well, as I grow older, I tend to appreciate my privacy more…heheh baik punyer alasan..serious babe…especially eversince I have my baby Lunamaya…just feel uneasy if I don’t visit her every other hour…  

To Aneeta and YB D.J….thank you for your merdeka wishes…you guys are so patriotic heh but most importantly it is the thought that counts…as I mentioned in my earlier posts, at this age, I appreciate friendship more than anything else.  (hey…i’m not that old okay!!!~lol~

While reading an article about Jennifer Aniston, I got a call from ‘my ad agency’ for me to collect film for my printer…aduss…this week is not our scheduled printjob??? how come? but according to David…. “client” needs something urgent for Ramadhan promotion…and there goes my week-end…dear darlings…(hey stop complaining you woman (imitating Kak Dee’s tone)…didnt you know that busy means “masyuk”???again….this stupid me..)

Anyway, in the event of Merdeka Eve, I actually wanted to write about CRAB..but was disturbed by that printing thingy.

Some of you must have heard the story about Ketam China and Ketam Melayu…when you wanted to cook Ketam China  you have to close the pot as Ketam China will  pull all of his friends out so that no-one gets cooked.   But if you were to cook Ketam Melayu, you dont have to bother to close the pot  as no-one will allow anybody to succeed climbing the pot and hence it ended up all of the Ketam Melayu were cooked for dinner….something for us all to ponder…Selamat Menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Yang ke-50….

The New Malaysian..

Howdy my all darlingsss…hope you guys are in great health…dont know why I am in the Merdeka Mood.  ~Kalau ingat kepala gila rasa nak join my Bomba gang go watch Football match Malaysian Youth Team vs Myanmar tonight at Stadium Shah Alam…tengok mood la…anyway let us talk about us, Malaysian…the new breed of Malaysian..

Like the toes of our stiletto pumps – sharp one season, rounded the next – everything goes through a process of redefining.  Tweaking gives us a new perspective.  Well it is from Gen-X to Gen-Y and today, it is Gen-i…I started thinking of what defines the modern Malaysian.  What tweaks do we carry that make us different from our great great grandfather/mother?

Well, I guess, corect me if I am wrong…while yesterday’s Malaysian used the privilege of background, travel and education like a paper qualification, today’s New Breed of Malaysian turns all that on its head to realise our dreams.  Within my own circle of cousins and friends, I have known Rina – armed with a Master’s in Engineering, decided to deviate and devote herself at the temple of fashion…and many more if I were to mention here.  A New Malaysian knows the score and works hard to change the status quo.  “Passive” is not in our dictionary, I supposed.

The New Malaysian are a passionate lot;  we dare to dream and make it a reality.  Only the sky is the limit..We are inspired…

If you asked me how do I define Malaysian moment?  ….”In Langkawi, while sipping my Latte at the Loaf in Harbour Walk…nearby a woman lifted her veil to sip her tea while another walked by in a tank top, shorts and flip flops…Well..that’s Malaysia..”

And I still remember, Francesco, a friend from Italy asked me what is great about Malaysia?  and My asnwer is :  Loving the Petronas Twin Towers, cheering on Nicol Davids, reminding foreigners that Jimmy Choo is from Penang and that my Indian friend speaks Cantonese more fluently than my Chinese friend does…and we all love TEH TARIK!…

To all friends out there, let us all treasure our beautiful and colorful country and work hard to build a better Malaysian for our next generations…Merdeka…Merdeka…Merdeka…~terbayang my Ida Fitri with her “mendera” saying it out loud..

Little that I knew…

I woke up this morning feeling restless…blame it on the long week I had plus the recce drive around Langkawi roads and the working Sunday I had…but I thank you Dear God for allowing me to still be here venturing your beautiful world.

I have decided today that I should fulfill my Jabatan Bomba’s orders otherwise I dont think I can do it again this week.  Which means driving down to my vendors warehouse in Serdang Raya…(I have gotten the LO since early last week but could not do it as I have planned a recce trip to Langkawi with another client earlier on).  Called my Bomba friend, Abang Nik, if he wants to join me but unfortunately he is outstation..he will join me 1st. half of the day tomorrow.

Called Mom should she and ayah want to join me to Serdang Raya…can go jalang-jalang and makang-makang after that…but little that I knew that Mom is fasting today…aiya…well, well Serdang Raya.. here I come alone..ahaks..

Collected most of the boat accessories for Bomba except for the fenders.  When I quoted to Bomba a month ago (referring to photos given by Maria – my vendor) the fenders were shown to come with a 6 metres rope but little that I knew that what was quoted to me  was actually just the fender without the rope…I have to buy the rope separately…look at how a good leaflet, as a marketing tool, can do to people as stupid ‘lurus’ as me…and here I am talking about business…heh

I was supposed to meet Kak Rose that evening but since I have taken quite a long time waiting for Maria to pack my things, inflating the fenders bla..bla….so I have decided to call it off…Sorry Kak Rose (salam cium tangan)..we will do it soon ek..(I felt so touched when you called me that you have mee rebus for me not knowing that I was in Langkawi at that time…you know what??..at this age, I value friendship more that anything else….thank you for being such a wonderful friend to me over the years…I will write about friendship later later, if time permits me,…insyallah.)

I was driving back around 3.00pm…I then remembered that today is already 28th. of August…and I have only a few more days left before end of August to redeem my free hand massage and back oil massage..ahhhh….what a great feelingsss..~dah terbayang yang dingin dong~ excited with the idea and called Veqish Spa straight away…pheww….they accepted my last minutes appointment and I was there at 4.45pm.  Initial plan was to redeem the free offers  and maybe a pedi and mani session..full stop…that’s all ok…

I was served tea at the Lounge and Jasmine, my favourite masseur came in.  After talking to her, little that I knew that, I have ended up agree-ing to a 1-hour full body massage plus a pedi and mani…for just a simple justification…the free session is only a 10 mins session okay….again what a marketing gimmick ek.. but the massage session was superb..I have no regrets..leaving the spa feeling rejunevated.

Dropped by at my favourite warung nasi ayam near my house.  I always love this nasi ayam because the boy took the trouble to fry the chicken and served it hot…not just to me ek…to everybody okay…..Asked him to pack my usual portion…2 portions of the chicken and 1/2 a portion of the rice…hhmmm…there goes my 3-in-1 meal…breakfast+lunch+dinner…

Rushed home for maghrib and cant wait to eat my nasi ayam while watching my favourite tv program …. Janice Dickinson Modelling Agency…

Excitedly bukak bungkusan…little that I knew…that…the boy forgot to pack me the sambal cili with kicap and dengan sup sup sekali tak ada…I must have charmed him until he forgot to pack those for me….what a day!…hahaha…

I know…i know….I have not been posting anything since last Saturday…My apology to all my dearest darlings….~wink to Kak Rose and gorgeous Elly and my other silence darlings..banyak uuuu…hehehe….~ I have been tied up with preparing reports after my recce trips for client’s factory in Italy….besides I did manage to attend  my best buddy’s dinner on saturday night, but missed another wedding invitation at Mom’s house on Sunday and also missed to meet Coco and deOutghred (apa dah jadi Bro and Girl?)….uwaaa…..

 Anyway, I missed you all darlings… Yes, yes…I will write tonight insyallah okay. ….Muah to all…~Capek bangat nie dong…baru nak keluar cari lunch and then go over client’s office…oppsss maybe will drop by wash hair before that ek…~

Recce trip

I took the 1st. flight out via MH from KLIA to Langkawi..was in the same flight with my 3 other clients.  We are here in Langkawi to do our final recce trip cum negotiations with the Four Seasons Resort for our big do at the end of November.  We arrived at 9.30am and  were met by my guy Fauzi at Langkawi Airport.  We have to go straight to Four Seasons as our rooms are not availabe as yet.

Had quite a long meetings plus tour of the premises and facilities as this was the first time for my clients but 2nd. for myself as I have done the first recce on my own about a month ago.  We ended our meeting at 5.00 pm with quite a successful negotiations on our part.  (Cant really share with you the photos taken  as I have to give my due respect to my clients confidentiality, at least not until the actual event is over).

Four Seasons , on the other hand, is rated the best of the best luxury resorts in Langkawi and one of the best resorts in the world.  No words could express its exclusivity. This resort is very popular among the honeymooners and tourists/expats from all over the world and they are running full almost everyweek for we have to shift our event’s date to suit their availability.  My personal expression on Four Seasons is –You really feel that you are in a movie…”the arabian night”….a totally different experiences all together!.  

Our big thank you to the General Manager and his team for the successful discussions we had and of course, for hosting the sumptious lunch!.  See you guys real soon!.

We had our dinner at one of the Italian Resto in Pantai Chenang.   Great food but love the dessert better!

Tomorrow is another long day for us as we are going to do our route recce which involved clock-ing in the mileage meter.  To my staff, Mizi, my friends Shukri, Sobri…sorry I cant really see you all this time around…my apology also goes to all in the Akademi.  Hey miss Cikgu Chot’s chicken chops too…will see you guys next trip ya.

Me-the-babysitter…

                                                                                                     Like any other school holidays, I will make it a point to spend some quality time with my lovable niece, Ida Fitri…either alone with her or joined by her other cousins.    This time around, only today I did manage to make myself available (after my demo to the marine gang yesterday)… So here we are, spending our quality time together….brought her to see a glimpse of what I am doing now…well after the Aunty has left the so-called dunia keparat..oppss korporat (wink).., had pizza and Choc shake for lunch  at Cafe 1920 in Bangsar Village,  did a bit of shopping for her…blouses, jeans, tshirts, handbag and hair clip (a bit sayang!).  She also tumpang me do our hair wash at the Salon..hehehe. And the most interesting part was we went to see the Merdeka Art Exhibition at the Islamic Art Museum.  herewith photos taken…syyhhhh…we are not supposed to take photos at the Art Museum ok!!! Well, thank you God for today you have permit me to spend some quality time with my cute lil’ niece. I will be off outstation tomorrow and Friday, not sure if I have the time to write…but I should be back on Saturday for my best friend’s wedding…Hey Azhar..I have turned down invitation by my other Bro to attend a launch of Mitsoka  you know! (sorry Aidi…salam cium tangan.  I will make it up some other times ek)…… I will try to drop a line or two for you all dear darlings while I am away…with the wireless datacard…I got no reason not to write kan?..well…I guess unless time does not permit me! Salam,  (later later, if I rajin, will publish photos la huh…including the curi shot inside the Art Museum..Bro Jamil…sorry not yours ek.   But it was a great experiences for my niece especially..but it’s ashamed that you guys were not able to display more of your creativity…maybe limited space kot..I don’t know.  I am proud that my 7 year old niece could recognized the late Tun Abdul Razak.Tunku Abdul Rahman..Merdeka…Merdeka…However, Mahathir Ida was her favourite…Mahathir Ida youuuu not our Mahathir….hehehe) Cioao DARLINGS gotto do some packing!

I am so worn out today. Spoilt enuf…

I have really spoiled myself this weekend. I lost 3.6 kilos for just over1 month.  Thanks to the Yoga and slimming sessions.  Tested my BP (pinjam Mom’s machine that I just bought)…very low…(no wonder I was like ‘merapu’ yesterday morning..hehehe) I remembered Dr. Zaini did say that I need more exercise when I last did my full medical check-up at her clinic 2-month ago.  Maybe not enough stress la Doc..hehe And today, I guess I have piled more calories than what I have shed for the last 1 month..

Breakfast   – took my daily dosage of vit,  minerals and calcium pills…(thanks to my dealer Kokcik!)

12.30nn    -  Had JM briani in Tesco Shah Alam…Mom’s treat coz I bought her the BP machine kot..  

                    (the best briani Johor in town…superb…but I like their tauhu bakar better..ate that as well…hahaha)

 2.00pm    – dropped by at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil to watch mix-double final (Indonesia vs China) with sis Norai.  (tickets courtesy of my dearest Bobby from Proton)…crowd was great! …sorry Bob cant stay for makan-makan as the Curve dah memanggil manggil akak yang….herewith photosI took during the match…but sorry I’m lazy to download all photos…looks like I have to upgrade my datacard memory.. then baru -la syok download photos and songs..

4.00pm    -  left Bukit Jalil for the Curve…gosh!  finally I got it! I got it!.,.been craving for the Big Apple Donuts since last 2 weeks…Thank you God for giving me the time today to get it all the way from SJ/Bkt Jalil…it is really worth the trouble going through the traffic jam.   Bought 2 boxes…ate 3 pcs  and my sis took 2 pcs right-away..yummie yummie donuts…it just melt in the mouth……~nothing compared to D….. D….. I tell you!!!~..gonna bring the extra 1 box to my clients office tomorrow morning…~nak bodek la tu…hehehe~ or I may just decide to eat them all tomorrow. Morale of the story???… THERE GOES MY 3.6 kilos that I shed…urrrgggghhh….well I guess, enough of the Big Apple Donuts ya…at least for the next 2 months or so…Ramadhan is just around the corner…anyway,  I can still reserve for 1 or 2 more …(blink..blink to Adek and Coco)…what say you guys..
